Colour of the month - Be Dazzled! Silver - December

Silver is the colour of the month for December. I have always loved silver, though gold was always the colour to have when I was growing up, and everyone around was wearing it, from gold charm bracelets to gold ornaments. It was the sign of prosperity: buying a charm a month or being gifted a charm, until their charm bracelets loaded them down like shackles.
But I loved silver more; the less valued precious metal than gold. Silver had something about it that just made me happy. It was clean and almost colourless, shiny and optimistic. When I decorated my rented apartment in New York for Christmas it was always silver I opted for...silver tinsel dripping from the Christmas tree, with silver strings of lights, silver candles, snowflakes and baubles. If I could have many homes I think I would like one that's just all in silver, with silver tiled walls, silver sofas and silver wallpaper. It would just simply be a bedazzled home, sophisticated and elegant, with hanging silver chandeliers. Silver is believed to be the mirror of the soul and truth - and that's certainly true for me.
